Training

Muay Thai

Muay Thai, or "The Art of Eight Limbs" is a combat sport from the muay martial arts of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. It combines the use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. It is associated with a good physical preparation and produces efficient and fast full-contact fighters.

Boxing

Learning Boxing at the Den will make the difference in your boxing game , please don't think we are the boxing school down the road, we take boxing very seriously and your game to a completely different level, we encourage the fundamentals of any striker are based in the ability to make an opponent walk in to your punch party . Following the Latin-American School of boxing we will add to your style the correct balance of body weight to improve punching power while floating on your toes. White collar Boxing, Our Amateur Boxing Club (The Power Station ABC) Pro Boxing are part of our repertoire of pugilists.

MMA

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is a full contact combat sport that allows a large variety of fighting techniques from a mixture of martial arts. It includes striking as well as grappling, both while standing and on the ground, takedowns, submissions, escapes and ground'n'pound and is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. It's most well prestigious promotion is "The Ultimate Fighting Championship" or UFC.

Wrestling

Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws, takedowns, locks, pins and other holds, with a wide range of styles and rules. Wrestling techniques have long been incorporated into other martial arts as well as military hand-to-hand combat systems. Freestyle wrestling is a style of amateur wrestling, practiced throughout the world and along with Greco-Roman, is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympics. It is, along with track and field, one of the oldest organized sports in history.

BJJ

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport focused on grappling and ground fighting. Also known as BJJ, it is a huge part of any MMA-fighter's weapons. It works on the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and techniques. It applies joint locks and chokeholds in order to defeat one's opponent. BJJ can be trained for self-defense, sport grappling tournaments and MMA (mixed martial arts) competitions. It focuses on movement, technique, flexibility and fitness.

Conditioning & Personal Training

Our instructors have been involved in the sport scene since a very young age, having competed in domestic and international bouts worldwide. They have learned and studied the development of sports in different persons has well themselves and can offer comprehensive guidelines and advice, exercises and programmes to help the physical and mental development of the students. We train and mentor professional athletes as well as hobby sport enthusiasts at different levels, tailoring training programs as well as nutrition advice, diet plans and supplementing to their individual needs.

Coaches

Victor Espinosa

Victor Espinosa, born in Mexico City in 1973 trains and fights for Keddles Gym in Orpington, Kent. He has extended his training in camps like Somkid-Parade Chukaewroongroj in Thailand, "The Diamond" in the Netherlands, with Ramon Dekkers, Nuevo Jordan Boxing Gym in Mexico City and Cobra Gym in the UK. He is regarded as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the UK, in his weight category. Unlike many fighters, Victor laced up his gloves at the late age of 28 and took the decision to jump in the ring after only 3 months of training. At 40 years, he has been fighting for over 12 years in the UK and doesn't appear to be slowing down. Victor has converted himself into a well-rounded fighter and is currently competing in the MMA circuit in the UK. He is the head coach at MMA Den and teaches:

Andrey Taukci

Andrey is recognized in the wrestling world as one of the most talented technical wrestlers in his weight category. Using the basics taught to him athe technical Bulgarian school, he placed 3rd in the European Championship in Hungary of 2006 and 3rd in the Worldchampionship 2007, in Guatemala. He has lived in Thailand where he trained Muay Thai and learned Sambo in Macedonia. Andrey coaches fighters in MMA and wrestling and is one of the highest ranked sparring partners for UFC fighters based in London. Andrey teaches:

Wojtek Nartowicz

Wojtek has practised martial arts since he was 13 years old. He has had over 40 fights, more than half of them in Thailand and has fought in Rajadamnen Statium (5 times), live on national television, in the Chang Mai Kavila Statium and the Fairtex Statium. He has also had fights in Hong Kong (broadcast live on television) and a championship fight in Malaysia. In Thailand he has trained in many famous and prestigeous gyms such as Sit Palang Muay Thai Gym in Ayutthaya and Lanna Muay Thai in Chiang Mai. Wojtek presently lives and trains at MMA Den in the UK and is the I.T.B.F. North-West British Champion (64.5kg) and ISKA (64.5kg) South-West British title holder. He teaches:

Solomon Lefleur

Sully has being involved in martial arts for the last years, he has competed in boxing and Muay Thai, sully has make an mark in the K1 scene with an devastating style that breaks his opponents not only with powerful right hand, but with a light speed kicks, Solomon has beig an important part on the build of many fighters at MMAden as well as building new talents. Solomon teaches:

Dan Vinni

Dan Started competing since the early age of 15, MMA, Muay Thai, K1, Boxing and BJJ are some of the disciplines that Dan has experienced. Registered BJJ Brown Belt under Austin Gardener and a MMA record of 28-0-12 Dan has obtained London champion in ADCC, Pro Grappling Champion in London Open and several MMA titles in the Light Heavyweight and Middleweight Division, Dan is a great asset for The Den and he is available for personal training sessions. Dan teaches:

Gordon McAdam

Gordon started his training in London with Bob Breen after some years practicing karate in his hometown of Glasgow. With Bob he trained in Kali/Escrima, also known as Filipino weapons arts, kickboxing and JKD (Bruce Lee's original fighting concept). In the mid 80's he started Thai Boxing under Gary Derrick and later Master Toddy and Master A. While he has stayed true to his love of Thai Boxing he now predominantly trains and teaches Kali weapons with carenza (free flow) and Pencak Silat- battlefield art of S.E Asia. The Kali focuses on fluidity including stick and knife, while the Silat (the style is Silat Buka Lingkeran = silat open circle) emphasizes conditioning, blade and multiple attackers. Tuition is on a 1-2-1 (or paired) session or in small groups (up to 6). All training involves fitness conditioning, technical understanding and fun… This is a great way to train and can complement your other training – martial or fitness... Gordon teaches:

Diogo Borges

Diogo from an early age always have a great passion for Jiu Jitsu but his father didn't allow him to train BJJ, he had to find the excitement in surfing. Diogo only started training Jiu Jitsu in the interior of Sao Paolo in  2006 with Alexandre "Tattinho " Lopes Oliveira a Black Belt of Ramon Lemos. In 2012 he Moved to London where he train with Roger Gracie. He has Achieved several titles as Brazilian No Gi Champion, No Gi State Champion in Sao Paolo, Gi and no go champion in London open, Brighton Champion and Abu Dhabi, London Winter Open Gi Second Place and third in the absolute.   Diogo Teaches:
